Our solution
Better Planet designed and installed a fully integrated system combining renewable heating, solar power generation, and battery storage to meet the homeowner’s goals. The solution included:
- 12kW Vaillant aroTHERM Plus Air Source Heat Pump – Delivers efficient, low-carbon heating for the property.
- 300L Vaillant uniSTOR Hot Water Cylinder – Ensures a reliable supply of hot water.
- 3.915kWp Solar PV System – Generates clean, renewable electricity year-round.
- 13kWh Tesla Powerwall II Battery Storage – Stores excess solar energy for later use and provides backup power during grid outages.
This integrated approach prioritises renewable efficiency by enabling the home to utilise clean energy even during periods of peak heating demand. The Tesla Powerwall II allows stored solar energy to be used during high-demand times, such as cold winter evenings when solar output is low and heating demand is at its highest.
By addressing seasonal variations in energy production, the system ensures year-round performance and significantly reduces the homeowner’s reliance on grid electricity.
