Our helpful and experienced team here to guide you…
The directors and engineers at Better Planet have a wealth of experience of working on renewable energy projects as well as general building services.
All installations are done by our own installation teams. The only element we outsource is the ground works.
After leaving the media world my plan was to focus on my family as well as a bespoke wallpaper company that I launched in 2006, however Tomas had already started Better Planet and we realised that it was all hands to the deck as the company grew unbelievably fast. The wallpaper company was put in the hands of a good friend, and I moved over to the plumbing/saving the planet side.
It was a steep learning curve, I retrained as an EPC assessor and took over the responsibility for heat loss surveys as well as the scheduling, finance, and back office. The installers have been brilliant and have taught me a lot about plant rooms and trenches over the years, I still lag the odd plant room.
I am in awe of Better Planet and the people who work with us, it’s grown into a company that I am very proud of and now the younger generation are joining us the future looks even brighter.
After obtaining a PhD in theoretical elementary physics at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Centre in California. I was then asked by JCDecaux, the world leader in Out of Home advertising to start their Swedish subsidiary and I stayed as MD for JCDecaux Sweden for 17 years.
The heat pump market in Sweden took off in the 1990s and we installed a ground source heat pump in our house in Stockholm back in 1997.
We decided to move to England and as I was convinced heat pumps had a future in England as well, we started Better Planet set up to offer design, supply, and installation of heat pumps and ancillary technologies.
I am one of the Sales managers at Better Planet, specialising in air source heat pumps, underfloor heating, solar PV, and battery storage. Having had previous experience working in sales within the energy sector, I decided to join the family business and focus purely on renewable energy.
Alongside management duties, I also work closely with our clients and am an ever-present figure in the sales process. This includes an initial video meeting, a site visit to complete a room-by-room heat loss survey, and a follow-up discussion. My role doesn’t stop there, as I remain present to deliver to installation and work closely with our building services engineers and installers to provide an excellent service.
I couldn’t be happier working for Better Planet, as I am following in my parent’s footsteps to help save the planet and provide the UK with affordable and efficient renewable technologies.
I am one of the Sales Engineer’s at Better Planet, specialising in air source heat pumps alongside other renewable technologies such as underfloor heating, solar PV and battery storage.
I had originally worked in our heat loss department completing calculations to correctly size heat pumps for domestic property’s. However, with previous experience in sales and as my knowledge grew, I got the opportunity to join the sales team.
As a Sales Engineer, it is my role to educate and help our cliental understand the benefits of renewable technologies and guide them in the decision of what solution is best for them and their property.
It’s a pleasure working for Better Planet as well as it being a family business the depth of knowledge and experience is incredible. I am very excited for the future of Better Planet and my role within the company.
Commercial Business Development and Regional Sales Manager
I am the Regional Sales Manager for Southeast England at Better Planet specialising in ground source heat pumps, and complimentary renewal systems. My career background is in technical sales, and general management and I am excited to be part of the Better Planet family business on the forefront of renewable energy.
I have long had a deep belief that renewable energy is critical for the future. As Project Manager for the UK’s first eco-friendly winery, we researched pioneering renewable energy systems resulting in heat pumps and solar panels installation.
Working alongside the family founders and directors of Better Planet my role is to market the advantages of ground source systems to the domestic end users and develop our commercial profile.
At Better Planet, we are passionate about the environment and have been installing renewable energy systems since 2006 to ensure our future renewable energy is embraced.
