MCS
The scheme was introduced by the government back in 2009 and Better Planet was one of the first companies to be accredited.
The scheme is linked to government incentives, such as the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) for heat pumps and the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) scheme for solar PV. To be eligible for these government incentives, the design and installation must be carried out by an MCS accredited installer, using MCS accredited products.
The purpose of the scheme is to provide standards for design and installation of heat pumps, solar panels, and other renewables. It covers installations up to 45 kW for heat pumps and up to 50 kWp for solar PV.

We are accredited under the government’s Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) for all types of heat pumps and solar PV installations.
