INSTALLATION STANDARDS & ACCREDITATIONS
All our projects meet or exceed good industry standards and manufacturer’s recommendations and we are accredited under the government’s Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) for all types of heat pumps and solar PV installations.
The scheme was introduced by the government back in 2009 and Better Planet was one of the first companies to be accredited.
The purpose of the scheme is to provide standards for design and installation of heat pumps, solar panels and other renewables.
Both installers and products can become accredited. The scheme is linked to government incentives, such as the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) for heat pumps and the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) scheme for solar PV. In order to be eligible for these government incentives, the design and installation has to be carried out by an MCS accredited installer, using MCS accredited products.
We consistently deliver high performance systems, meeting and exceeding industry standards by complying with MCS standards, complying with manufacturer recommendations and adding 15 years or our own experience in designing and installing the systems.
