Better Planet was selected to design, supply, install and commission three different renewable technologies for this manor house in Oxfordshire.

This project was triggered by a major extension of the property requiring underfloor heating in screed. The heat pump was designed to support the new extension while a gas boiler was kept to serve the original part of the property.  The heat pump was also required to heat an outdoor swimming pool during the summer months.

Project summary:

  • A 24 kW twin compressor ground source heat pump
  • A 500 litre double jacketed cylinder with solar coil
  • A 200 litre buffer tank
  • Three solar thermal panels with evacuated tubes
  • Underfloor system for screed
