One of the biggest advantages of under floor heating is that it comes with separate controls for every room. The thermostat regulates the heat supply and room temperature in the room. There is also an electronic thermostat that is installed on the inner wall and reflects the room temperature in an optimized way. Better Planet’s thermostats have a clean and simple design and have a long life span.

Slab-on-grade concrete system
This system is suitable for renovations and new build and is used when the under floor heating system is cast in concrete. This is a low temperature heating system and can be connected to all types of heat sources. Installation must be done above the insulation, and dimensioned to the basic conditions of the facility.
Suitable for renovations and new build, this system comes with 22 mm chipboard containing slots for tubing and aluminum heat emission plates. The slotted chipboard replaces the usual sub floor and is placed directly on wooden joists. It is possible to add a thin covering floor since the chipboards are bearing. This will minimize the insulation and therefore, the heating system will be able to function at a lower temperature.

ROT 12- remodeling construction
Suitable for renovations and new build, this system is composed of aluminum heat emission plates and cellulose floorboards and has a very high resistance to pressure. This is for floorboards with a building height of 18, 30, 50, or 70 mm. For thicker boards, we recommend using a lighter insulation in the foundation.
This is available as a dry system or cast in slab-on- grade concrete.
The manifold connects the circuits and distributes the hot water through each room. The manifolds come with a clean and simple design and a ten year warrantee. Our manifolds are available from 2 to 12 circuits and are ready to be installed upon delivery.
We also have another option which comes with an integrated mixing unit. The advantage of this is that it minimizes installation.
A Mixing Unit is needed if you are going to combine under floor heating system with radiators. The purpose of these units is to achieve a desired temperature. This occurs when the hot water is withdrawn from the heating source and mixes with the water already in the under floor system. There are three different mixing units.
Mixing Unit TMix S
Used for renovations and extensions, this smaller unit is for surfaces up to 55mand only if under floor heating has been installed in sections of the property (eg. bathroom, hallways, kitchens, etc.)
Mixing Unit TMix M
Used for new build and renovations, this unit is for surfaces up to 200m and can be attached directly to our manifolds.
Mixing Unit TMix L2
This is the largest unit and has a capacity for a broad range of usage. This is used for larger facilities where a circulation pump is attached to the main system. This unit to can be attached directly to a manifold.
