Ground source heat pumps are ideal for cooling.  Once you have a collector loop installed for collecting heat to your property, the same loop can be used to take away heat in the summer.  If you have underfloor heating, the floor can be used for cooling.  If you have traditional radiators, we can install separate fan coil units that will produce cold air like a traditional air conditioner.

If you use the heat pump for cooling in the summer, you will automatically increase the temperature in the ground where the collector loop is located.  This is in fact a “refill” of thermal energy in case the ground has been cooled down during a previous winter season.  By doing this, you can save some of the heat from the summer and make your heat pump more effective during the next cold season.

Cooling is especially advantageous in offices, where heat is generated from people and office machines, thus creating a cooling need already at modest outdoor temperatures.  For new buildings, the best option is to introduce the cooling through an underfloor system.  By doing this you can keep the structure of the building chilled and avoid the inconvenience of cold draft related to traditional air conditioning.  Not only are you saving the cost of an air conditioner, you are saving a great amount of  energy and reducing CO2 emissions.
NO NEED TO BUY AN AIR CONDITIONER
